... on the beach, more swimmers came and went, I tried the toe test! It feels far too cold for swimming, just a paddle was enough! The beach cafes are open and the one closest to us has a group of Brits enjoying the sun and coffee. We were up early as planned and at the palace before anyone else, in fact we had to wait several minutes to pay the entrance fee. There was a guide who kept pestering us to pay him 'not much money, just 20€ that's only 10€ each' he told us 'without a guide we would miss 90% of the site', what rubbish!
