      ... be in agony, so I naturally felt very brave (if also a little stupid). I also recalled at that moment that the lunch place at the beach was called "Mr Delicious". Damn you Mr Delicious!

      It's while lying down on an osteopath's bench in a tropical paradise bench that the mind wanders slightly. How was I going to hike the Inca trail or climb Aconcagua now? I could barely squash a molehill, let alone scale an Andean peak. Why didn't I bend the knees ...

      ... six months ago. I had done copious amounts of research for the trip and braced myself for the worst. My experience in Kenya was incredible, but that may have been due to a sort of "bubble" that all of the delegates were placed in for the duration of the International Gold Event.
      Here, there is no internationally guided "bubble" to shield me; no buffer zone between myself and the "real world" - just me, my wits and my determination to see this through.

      ... one thing will always stick in my head- he asked our ages and said in a confident manner pointing to me first, “You are what… 25?” Then pointed to Tony, “And you're about 45?” I LOVED seeing the look on Tony’s face when he guessed my age 12 years younger, and Tony’s age 3 years older!!! Priceless. Ridiculous- according to Tony.
