Our last port of call is Katakolon and whilst many are heading to Olympia we have decided not to go back for a second visit. As an alternative we have decided to stroll the streets of the port - all three of them.

Yesterday I got to Vartholomio. Thia Maria and Zoe were waiting at the bus stop at Gastouni for Papou and I. Upon arriving, we went past the shops that they have there. Zoe owns a sweet shop right next door to Dionisi's mini market. Across the road, Thia Maria and Thio Yianni work in the newsagent shop. Zoe took us to the house were we had some lunch. Thio Yianni cracks me up - he always says things like "soooopppa" ...

We had a very relaxing day on the island Zakinthos; very restful, almost like a sea day. Perfect after several days of intense tours. We slept in, and then took a tender to the city center where we had a delightful lunch of fresh seafood and of course a lot of wine. The atmosphere and character of the island is completely different from Mykonos and Santorini; very laid back. The island is very lush with huge pine forests. From the view on our verandah, ...

We slept in late this morning and had Rupesh bring us coffee. Around lunchtime we headed up to the pool deck and had a burger, which was pretty good. Then we went into the hot tub and read by the pool for a little while.
