Friday was a rest day in Coonabarabran. We had a late morning and then went to the Sandstone caves in the Pilliga Forest which is about 35 Kms from Coonabarabran. This is an aboriginal area and is not well known but well worth the visit. There are some amazing cave formations which have been formed over 1000's of years. There are also some beautiful views over the forest.
Once again it was a very cold night and we made good use of our heater.

We left Coonabarabran at about 9.30 ...
