    ... we planned to go up north Queensland for a few weeks in what is called a 'shake down' and also another week on the mid north coast of NSW. We think these family times will have to be cancelled now as we won't have enough time before we depart on our big trips. So a couple of days here and there away will have to suffice.     ... below. We headed on across the bay and suddenly there were 3/4 dolphins spotted nearby. They were skirting around the shore pretty close to people surfing in a little bay by Cape Byron. Could Tom see these dolphin? no he could not. It took 6/7 sightings for him to finally see them come up over the waves...... Doh! But we got there eventually. One of the guides was an aboriginal fella, and he then taught us a song about the Dolphin that the tribesman used to come down to shore ...

    ... I come back to Oz I'll definatley be visiting here again. It's beautiful and my type of place. I'd recommend anyone who comes to Oz to visit the Goldcoast. Next time I'd definatley swim with dolphins. Now it's time to head back to Melbourne and back to Ian's place for the final week in Oz. Can't believe I'm coming home a week tomorrow. Nooooooo!!!!     ... had a swim. Rich cooked burgers on the barbie while I got the rest of dinner ready. After dinner the girls started making 2 of the houses from the gingerbread village that Marc and Loren had left for them. Rorke disappeared only to find him asleep on our bed.     ... girls in our rooms - really nice. One of them celebrates her 30th at week end. From America . In her second year of travelling . Has degree in biology and masters in forensic science. Had really good job in drug testing but just thought something was missing so quit and left to see the world before the cut off of 30 in Oz. and others are primary school teachers decided same.
