This was a wonderful and conveniently located apartment in Santiago, Chile. The owner Tatiana is helpful and accommodating. The apartments have their own bathroom and kitchen and are located near the bohemian Bellavista neighbourhood. The place also has free wi-fi, and you can easily come and go whenever you want. If I return to Santiago, I would certainly stay here again.

... cafes I opted for the supermarket. I sat out front scoffing down my two bannanas and drinking my two yogurts straight from the tub. I also found an info centre and booked myself on a hop on hop off bus tour for the day and also a half day trip to the Andes, and another day trip to Via Del Mar and Valpariso. Big thanks to the young guy behind the counter who chatted away while escorting me ...

He fires back a thousand words that I don't understand. I then have to explain that I ...

Festival time!

It is our last day in Chile and what better way to spend it than at the Lollapalooza music festival! A break from our early morning starts, we woke up to an already warmed-up Santiago and lazed around on the rooftop balcony, soaking up some sun. After a savoury crep for lunch we put on our wristbands and headed for Parque O'Higgins. The ...

“The man who goes alone can start today; but he who travels with another must wait till that other is ready.” Henry David Thoreau One of the things I realised I have got out of the habit of when travelling alone is waiting for people. While there has been a lot of waiting, for food, buses, etc, I am used to leaving as soon as I am ready which means travelling with people I had to get used to waiting again. Not that Judith or Lauren, who arrives later in this ...

... 8221;? I said yes, thank you. What fun that was. I think Linda is easier to say for them than Eldon. I felt in control!!!

We had a lovely French dinner. Eldon ordered the crab bisque. It was delicious; we shared. He then ordered the sea bass, and I got the halibut. Both dishes were delicious. We toyed with getting the cheese plate since we love French cheese but opted for one crme brulee. Our meal this ...
