... around the old town and has a small existence with tourism. Geraldine thought the ruins too new to be of interest. We went in the morning again to avoid the hottest part of the day. (Weather 35-40 deg C clear skies and very humid).
Ekincik was a delightful little anchorage off a small pebble beach with a natural spring just inland. We stopped here heading westwards & thought we'd visit again on the return leg.

July 17, 2015 Turunc to Dalyan
Frustration and a definite tinge of sadness sum up the first part of the day. The frustration revolved around poor internet connections when we had some business matters which needed attention. The sadness was because we were sitting inside whilst the family enjoyed the pool during our last few precious hours at the Loryma. It’s air conditioned too! We, however retired to the Oxygen Bar – an open deck where one can 'relax’ on giant cushions, whilst we waited for the Buckley 4, from Edinburgh.
It’s soooo good to hear and then see them – at midnight. They were exhausted after the flight followed by a 2 hour plus, transfer from Dalaman airport.

We walked down to the restaurant and were intrigued by the containers of water at every bend. Water - to bus used in the event of a fire!
Our walk took us along the sea front at dusk - so picturesque but a huge new hotel may have an impact. Unfortunately the road is too narrow to safely walk back, at night. This meant we said no to the deserts!
... you got it... it's time for our last lunch for this holiday. Aydin comes up trumps with his table choice for us, right at the front of the terrace overlooking the whole of the bay with Marmaris shimmering on the horizon... Why haven't we sat here earlier in the holiday? Never mind, we're here now and we'll make the most of it, enjoying our longest lunch time yet. We wanted to savour the stunning view, the lovely food, and of course each other's company ...
