... here - and to be brutally honest, we were struggling to recognise the finer points and meaning of temple architecture. A lot of homework was going to be required...... So we took the easy way out - a trip to the Big Buddha. Our lazy taxi driver "suggested" we do half the journey by boat, which actually turned out very well. The River Taxi took no prisoners, screaming in at ramming speed and reversing almost hard enough to stop us slamming into the jetty. ...
