    ... and fairly disappointing) leather talk and then shown the inside of the shop. - it was interesting to see a copy of the David in the Piazza della Signiore, I didn't realise they copies were so easy to go and see! I also really enjoyed seeing the statue of (???) who, on the back of his head you can see the artist has sneakily hidden a self portrait amongst the back of his helmet and hair!     ... is difficult. There are copies of the DAVID statue everywhere and the original in a special museum. Our guide was euphoric in her description of how Michelangelo carved DAVID, including every muscle and even the veins in his hand. -WHEW!

    everywhere there are kiosks selling statue souvenirs, and outdoor restaurants for the sport of people watching. Lunch is about $10 for a ham/cheese panini and great ...

    ... The outside of the Duomo is a piece of artwork itself. The building took 200 years to reach completion and the outside facade was replaced in the 16th century. Compared to the outside the inside walls are quite plain but the dome is remarkable with designs by Donatello, Paolo Ucecello and Lorenzo Ghiberti, with intricate painting and stained glass windows.

    This morning went to the Uffizi Gallery...which is supposed to be one of the best art collections in the Italy and in the world. It was beautiful.....lovely sculptures and paintings....and the great thing about that is it was not too big! We only had to ask once for directions today.     ... are Rife in Italy so we had to watch our belongings the entire time. Unfortunately during our stay the small group of boys haven't settled down and are very much getting on everyone's nerves. A few of them leave in Rome so fingers crossed it gets better. Otherwise the rest of the group is fantastic fun! :)

    After lunch it's back on the bus and headed towards Rome!! A very busy and big day today!
