Strangest Place: Amsterdam, Netherlands. Amsterdam has become infamous for its legal marijuana and prostitution. The Red Light District, where the prostitutes' place of business is, is one of the strangest places I have ever been to. Anyone cannot help but feel uncomfortable walking through this place. Also, I am not used to the streets smelling like marijuana smoke. Even though Amsterdam is a very pretty Dutch town, ...

... back to the Piazza to eat and people watch as we waited for our 1 o'clock tour at the Uffizzi. The street performers were very entertaining and creative. Boticelli’s The Birth of Venus is amazing up close. One of Thérèse’s favorites was another by Botticelli’s Primavera, or Allegory of Spring. The museum is amazing and a must see, but by the end we were "arted out"! We went back to the hotel to collect our luggage ...

... the the Uffizi museum. Close to the museum we found a place for lunch which was mediochre.

After lunch we queued to collect our prepaid tickets and then queued to get in the door. The museum has some amazing works of art and we spent the next 2 to 3 hours wandering its two floors looking at art and also admiring the view over the river Arno.

Jack and Sam then went down to the Ponte Vecchio and ...
