We were able to touch the leathery skin of the creature and watched as the guide showed the strength of alligator’s jaws by touching its teeth, stimulating the jaw to snap securely closed. Several interesting gator facts we learnt were - they have eighty teeth and if they lose one they can grow it back within three weeks. Alligators also only have side vision so cannot detect something in front or behind them. ...
