... build that was my big question??

On closer inspection this was certainly no small house and consisted of 3 or more floors and as it was half way up a cliff there was certainly no road that went up there unless it was within a tunnel.

Further up and right on the top of this cliff I noticed another strange shaped rock and on close inspection this rock turned out to be yet another very large building. This one appeared to be a upper cableway station or ...

26.10.14 Left Schwangau today and drove through Austria with snow all around us and to the Waldheim Hotel in the Valle Di Casies in the heart of the Dolomites. Today we had lunch with Johns side of the family (the ones that live in Trentino) at their family restaurant Lanterna Verde (green lantern). John's sister Angela was there, with 6 out of her 8 kids, some of their partners and some of their kids! Some of them work at the restaurant, and some just joined us for lunch. Johns brother Julio also came. As you can imagine its hard to remember all the names! We had a great lunch, then sat outside ...

... more mechanized than an American one. It's getting late as I reach Bolzano. The train passes through a large industrial area, and then the train drops me off in front of a couple austere Mussolini era buildings and statues. Definitely doesn't feel like the Alps here. I check in to a hostel, chat a bit with my roommate, an American from Idaho who somehow landed a gig caretaking for a farm in Tuscany! Right now he's ...
