Supporting the Irish!
After a 7 hour bus journey, I arrived and met up with Tim. I was staying at Club Nena, but the Tennis and players were at the Ali Bey next door, and once I'd negotiated the security I spent most of my time at Ali Bay with Tim and the Irish team, returning to Nena to sleep..
It was good fun, and in the middle of the week I decided that I didn't feel like slow-travelling back to London, so took a flight to Zurich, train to Dijon and was back in Marcilly on 16th.

De Turkse Riviera
Een andere wereld, 25 jaar terug en nu. De kust is volgebouwd, het strand amper te zien. De spaanse kust -de costas, Benidorm...- groeten. Kamperen, zoeken maar...We hebben een camping gevonden tussen Manavgat en Cenger, Camping Osay (12 Euro, internetaansluiting), mooi, veel schaduw, direkt aan zee, rustig....tot 24 uur s'nachts en dan weer vanaf 03 uur s'morgens.

... part of the tourist experience…but I still hate it. In Antalya, it isn’t unusual to get cheaper prices just because I am a regular and therefore I don’t have to pay what others do. I think I will miss that most of all.

Day 6 - Along the southern Turkish coast
... seven hours of driving up and down twisty moutainous roads with few barriers to prevent you from driving off a few hundred meters into the Med......i was getting pretty tired. Too many turns. But hey....have to push on. Miraculously, after I stop driving for most of the day, park the car and have a couple of beers.....I fell much better. I consulted Dr. EFES.
