OK, OK, OK, so I got on the road late. No biggy. Off I went a happy camper, south bound and down with the pedal to the metal, and everything was 10 four good buddy. Dang I have to stop listening to those truckers songs. Yikes.

The road ( interstate hwy 75 ) was still smooth and straight all the way to just south of Ocala. Then it got dicey. I was motoring along scanning the area where we had stayed last year and recognized a few ...

Luckily, it's Super Bowl weekend, so we found our own entertainment at the bar next door to the hotel. Since it was getting cooler we took a short trip over to the DeSoto Square Mall to walk off the ice cream in their air conditioned corridors. Jessica was also on the hunt for a Donald Duck stuffed animal for her niece, ...

... liquors and array of bitters. The vibe was very laid back but lively and the drinks were “fabulous” (per Michael), it was the best Old Fashioned I have had at a bar outside of Wisconsin.
The three weeks we spent in Sarasota went by fast but we fit a lot in. We had a great time and cannot thank Rod enough for everything he did with and for us. It felt like an all-inclusive vacation, he really spoiled us. It was sad to leave but it was exciting to be getting back on the road and continuing the adventure.
