I don't want to pre-empt my TripAdvisor review here. It was a decent hostel as far as hostels go, but not the best. It's location in Fitzrovia, was its best feature. It allowed for an easy walk to many things, in particular, the theatres. Rather, I'd like to tell you about the other goings on about the hostel. We are at Dubai airport. It is REALLY big. Daddy found us a trolley to push our bags around on and we drank some lemonade. I liked looking at the fish. The big fat goldfish was my favourite. There are hotels and houses on the palm. The houses that were here are so gigantic. They looked like hotels. And they all have private beaches which looked incredible. The beaches and the sand here are really nice. Soft white sand. The water is a beautiful turquoise blue. The Arabian gulf ...

... which you regularly see in references/pictures of Dubai. Although it was nice, I didn't think it was worthy of a 7 star rating, nor was it any nicer than places you can see in Vegas.

Dubai does have incredibly impressive man-made islands in shapes such as a palm tree and another in the shape of the globe (Google maps displays them clearly). I took a train to the Palms. It is literally a small city that has ...
