      ... have gone up in price! Vino and pizza for lunch, che sorpresa! I find I'm annoyed now when people speak English to me, I'm speaking Italian (or maybe not......) Mainland - Tuscany is only 30 mins or so away, €10 people, €50 car. I wonder if people commute? One ferry company have 100 trips to and fro per week starting at 515 am so I'm guessing so. Lots of bikes and apparently both biking and hiking are popular. Definitely a place for a holiday, ...

      The CIRCA performers were long gone, onto their next venue before we headed down to breakfast. Heading to the coast, scooted round Rome on the autostrada, wonderful. Banks of flowering oleander brightening up the autostrada roadside. Thriving in the local climate.

      It was originally built by a German Baroness and then was left to its own devices for many years until Claudia and Jim saw it and restored it to its former glory in 1999. They had to get everything around to the villa by boat. All the builders had a winch everything to get all the building materials up to the decaying villa.       If you thought the Great Ocean Road is windy then it has nothing on the roads we have just taken. poor Mandy who was sitting on the passenger side , which is closest to the sheer cliff face to the ocean was constantly pushing on the imaginary brakes that she has. Hilarious.

      ... estate run by Lord & Lady Bamford. It is a stunning place that produces such fine food (not unlike our beautiful little village) and have a cooking school and health retreat. As you can see by the photos it is a pretty stunning place. After this we went to a fabulous pub for lunch and were surrounded by bantam roosters strutting their stuff and having the odd todo at our feet.
