It was originally built by a German Baroness and then was left to its own devices for many years until Claudia and Jim saw it and restored it to its former glory in 1999. They had to get everything around to the villa by boat. All the builders had a winch everything to get all the building materials up to the decaying villa. If you thought the Great Ocean Road is windy then it has nothing on the roads we have just taken. poor Mandy who was sitting on the passenger side , which is closest to the sheer cliff face to the ocean was constantly pushing on the imaginary brakes that she has. Hilarious.
