Here are some random photos of things around Santa Luzia. Tomorrow I will be here all day so will take more photos of this village. I figure I can afford an ocotpus meal in the restaurant downstairs so tomorrow is the day! So good!

      We are enjoying the sun.

We have parked in a secure site with electricity €4 per night, which is fantastic value.

We decided to stay on until Monday when the township are having a religious ceremony to bless the fishing boats, followed by local dancing. This got the whole community out and a procession of clergy and followers walked from the church to the port. We joined in too. The people are so religious ...

I have going to the villages that are along the train line. Researching on the internet first and then going for a day trip. I can ride my bike to the station which is in Tavira about 15 mins away. The village population is ...

So we are now flying over northern Canada on our way back home. This instalment of the European travel adventure is coming to an abrupt end. Our last left blog was posted as we were leaving Faro Portugal on our way to Cadiz Spain. Cadiz is a must stop if you are interested in early European settlements as it is the longest inhabited city in Europe. The hotel was right in the centre of the old town so we were able to walk ...

      A relaxing around Samta Luzia

Today I did a little exploring around Santa Luzia. I rode my bike back to salt business but was turned away, didn't get as close as I had hoped. Yesterday I rode my bike into Tavira. There is a very wide bike path for most of the way, but as most of my tops are black I decided I needed to be more visible so I found a sporting goods store ...
