... for our last Greek meal.It was really sad to see so many restauants with ************e in them. This financial crisis has really devastated the tourist industry. We walked along checking menus and finally settled on the last cafe which had a few locals in it. We decided to go with shared plates as we had done so often in Greece.Included was of course Tsaziki beetroot and octopus salads and broad bean dip. With bread and wine it was a fitting end to our Greek ...

... We found a nice cafe and Tam ordered lunch while I went to book tickets for our ferry from Naxos to Rafina. Because of our large lunch we decided to forgo dinner and just picked up a few snacks from a nearby ...

Overnight, we cruised back to Katakolon. We were here last week and went to ancient Olympia. This time we planned to stroll around Katakolon and shop and sit in a cafe and use the free Wi-Fi. We had contemplated going back to Olympia as The Management had nearly bought a beautiful gold ring set with a pearl but had decided against it despite AJG's encouragement. You are thinking, ...

The Odyssey (See What I Did There?)

... Our hotel was quaint - a small, plain little building with peeling paint and a dripping tap in the bathroom. On the upside though, the staff were lovely, and, best of all, the hotel was right next to the city centre, meaning we didn't have to rely on any public transport.

What is immediately devastating about Athens in the heat. Now, I had just come from Wuhu in China, where the red bar was hovering menacingly around 30 degrees, which is bad enough. But Athens ...
