Today is our travel day. We packed up this morning and said good bye to our lime green and white studio apartment. Got the car packed then skyped Tami and the boys. Lucas was home with pink eye. On the road and once again we took the Captain Cook Highway, except this time we headed south to the Cairns airport. The highway was very scenic, mostly following the coast. We got to the airport, returned our rental car, had some lunch and ...

Well, I must say my last week being 29 turned out to be a pretty good one. Lots of adventure and fun! Met some good people and truly enjoyed myself!

Made it back at 8:30 am (two hour time change (back) between New Zealand and here). Caught my shuttle from Brisbane back to Bli Bli! :) and its nice out! Just the way I like it! 28 degrees!

The theme from jaws played continually in my head. It's been reasonably quiet here up ...

... in Australia (or anywhere in Australia really) due to all the dangerous creatures roaming about. Our tour was okay - we spent most of the day in a 4WD truck with stops on the coast to take pictures, at Lake Mackenzie where when the sun is shining the water is turquoise and lovely but it was cloudy when we were there, and then in the rainforest where our tour guide was searching for spiders and dingoes to show us but all the creatures of the forest ...

So since the departure of Katie and Jack we have been working hard and had a busy weekend at taps. Monday was quieter but we were still on close so not home till the morning once again. Not a problem though as we had Tuesday, Wednesday off meaning we could go and do a bit of exploring. Tuesday we arranged to meet up with Troy and Blair from work and went off to find rockit climbing gym. Managed to find it this time and spent a good 2 and a half hours there ...
