... beautiful place with the village full of white-washed buildings scattered around a maze of little streets and alley ways. Just at it seemed that Santorini was made for couples, Mykonos was make for singles and the party life. This is one place that I want to return to again.

... to not get so caught up with what you've achieved in life, as to get caught up in how you are living and celebrating life. Because I promise you, one day all of our oh-so-important-stuff is going to be washed over just like the Romans. And we'll be a quaint little blip on the map of history.

Okay, so, Mykonos today and then ...

this trip was very special to me,because it was the first one after I finally finished with school and had the freedom to do everything I want,without anybody else controlling me!the only thing I wanted to do is find a nice place with great people to relax and so I did.i met many interesting people and it was a journey to remember!

Apparently, there were only a few taxi's on the island and one wonders why anyone would take one when two large cruise ships were in town. You see, not only was our ship, the Ruby Princess, carrying 3,100 passengers in port but the Celebrity cruise ship was also in port. There were so many people around the port area that taxi's virtually couldn't move more than a few inches a minute. Hope ...

... what I would think of this place. I was feeling sort of pessimistic and annoyed about leaving Ios, so I wasn't expecting much. I figured it would be boring and bland compared to anything I had seen yet. The guidebook pages I had ripped out of my book and carried with me the entire time said Paros was a more laidback Mykonos or something like that. Whatever that was to mean? Can't say I was really impressed when I arrived. Then I took the bus from the port in the middle ...

... me straight away...haha...they made me laugh. My alcoholic beverage has been a Greek drink called Orsuz very nice on the taste buds but not so good in the morning, hehe. Now i understand why Aroune enjoyed himself so much.....porn shows at the beach everyday...now that was an eye opener not something u see in Sydney. I have tried the nutella crepes....do they make those back home? I miss Mykonos terribly....i ...

... The island itself is rather pretty, but nothing in comparison to Santorini. There are 5 windmills right next to port that greet you as you come into the island, and they are frequeted on the postcards in Greece. Other than that, we didn´t do a whole lot other than walk around "little Venice" with the tiny streets filled with ritzy jewelry and gyro shops. It was low season so it was very quiet on the island, so it made for a relaxing couple days.

How on Earth did I get to be so lucky?

My family and I went on a cruise of the Greek Islands. We ate a lot, got sea sick once, soaked up the sun, and absorbed the classically beautiful white and blue colours on the islands. There weren't very much ship activities that my sister and I were interested in but Allyson and I did win a bingo game! Mykonos was by far our favorite island because of its beauty.
