... seaside city, a relaxed city that despite feeling small has a lot to do. We basically spent the whole time at the seaside, eating tapas and various fish/rice dishes (like arroz a banda) and drinking wine.
Favourite tapas: croquetas and patatas bravas is a staple but from now on I don't want to see these dishes again!

... of the largest medieval fortresses in Spain. The castle was built by the Moors in the 9th/10th century and, at 166 meters in height, produces an amazing view of the city, coastline and harbor. The castle is full of cannons, dungeons, a moat, the ruins of a small church and, of course, a famous lookout tower. By following the dolcit tones of a local, we discovered a hole in the wall tapas eatery that blew us away - Cerveceria Sento. Headed inland today to visit the Sierra Espuna National park. The intention was to do some hiking......but what happened next was really stupid. As we cimbed higher and higher in the van we noticed we didnt have much gas....a somewhat serious thing when you are going up a mountain.
