Zakros gorge is slap known as gorge if the dead, as there are a lot if caves that have in historic times used as burial tombs. The valley bottom was full of shrubs and boulders with a path snaking through them, if course it stopped at the river, which again we couldn't cross.       ... and not very welcoming. We found a small cove to park for the night, there is definitely a storm brewing, the wind us getting stronger and there are occasional showers. The cove is very nice, there is a long beach in a tight curve with steep mountain sides at each end, the centre area is all olive trees leading up a gentle incline to the village which us about 5 kilometres away.       ... a few smaller speed boats and yachts and some children just back from sailing were washing off a their of toppers, We walk back around to the harbour and decided it would be a nice place to stay for the night.       ... to India is not possible because we have the dog with us. Bearing in mind that Jane said we would be doing some charity work in Nepal when she applied for a year off work, we are going to: 1. Drive back to the UK by early March. 2. Leave Logan with family while we fly to Nepal for 2 months. One of our friends there is in an organisation called Pax Earth, which does various projects in poor villages.
