... of 2 people. I tried my luck and managed to get onto a tour tomorrow. 35km through forests and coastal areas. Just hope the weather holds out!

Had a nice dinner around 8pm at the Reval Cafe where I sat and read a bit while enjoying a pint of local dark beer. Wandered a bit more before getting back to the hostel after dark. Would love to know exactly how far I walked today as I'm feeling quite tired tonight. Need to get a good night's sleep for my ride tomorrow.

The last of the tours I had booked through SPB tours was in Tallinn, Estonia. It was described as a 3 hour walking tour with about 2 hours free time at the end for shopping or a bite to eat. It turns out United Backpackers is a MUCH nicer hostel than Tallinn Backpackers. It's a brand new place, that’s huge, with all new amenities, ...

... shopping. I didn't really see too much that was practical to buy - lots of heavy Scandinavian style woolen hats, sweaters, etc. I did buy a little Christmas ornament - an angel made out of heavy felt. I had lunch in one of the little outdoor cafes. Oh lordy, I ate a panini...Dr. Gundry is gonna disown me! I had booked Dennis and myself on a private walking tour of Tallinn starting at 2pm. Dennis showed up right in the nick of time and we were only a couple ...

Touring in Tallinn

... where the past and present blend to form a very interesting experience. Estonia, of course, used to be part of the Soviet Union (along with its neighbours Latvia and Lithuania) but since their independence in the early 1990’s the people are a fiercely patriotic and proud nation.

We boarded our tour bus and set off through the ...
