I am pleased to report that after 13 hours of traveling (2 hours at airport before first flight, 1.5 hour flight, 5 hour layover, 8 hour flight, 1 hour at baggage claim, and a 0.5 hour bus ride), I am officially studying abroad in Geneva! My roommate, Nikki, is delightful and almost as drowsy from jet lag as I am. Our room is outfitted entirely in Ikea furniture/sheets/rolled up pillows. Today was purely about getting off and ready to go.
Rob went round to fix Suzy's tire first thing and make sure she was good to go again. We packed and jammed and weighed for a few hours. Then took off to the train at Bare. We got to Manchester Airport in good time and checked through all okay until security Honestly they are worse the Australia. Our bag had to be scanned again, even after they had checked it - twice! ... etc. We only got through half of it before it was time to return to put the clothes in the dryer. Once they were dry and folded (and by than it was a very busy place so we were very happy that we had gone early) we went back and wandered through the rest of market.We also stopped and bought that cow mug - yippeee!!!

This particular place was in the tiny little hamlet of Ugine, about 30 km from Lake Annecy. It was cold windy and somewhat rainy when we arrived.
