... a native garden area, I found out that cranberries are grown in a bog….another piece of trivia!! We had a delicious and messy lunch of lobster, corn and mussels followed by blueberry dessert at Bar Harbor Lobster Bake and then drove up to Cadillac Mountain (466mt). …not very high but the highest mountain on the east coast of USA and the first to greet the rising sun in USA. We could see the Porcupine Islands, the town of ...

... were one of 2 ships in today along with a few bus loads of people so the town was pretty busy. To get to the shore we had to catch a tender over, which took about 15 minutes. I didn't have any activities booked for today, so my first stop was at the information centre to get a map of the town. I knew that I wanted to walk across the sand bar and also along the ocean trail. First I walked out to the sand bar to see if the tide was low enough ...

... open areas and treed areas between camp spots.. we get a good site close to the bathroom and pool with forest behind us and a grass field in front. We had paid for 1 night but now pay for 3 as we will stay here. We drive into town just to check it out and it is a neat town , touristy but well done!
BBQ some fresh Swordfish which we got at Hanniford and it is fantastic.. juicy and flavorful! We will do that again! Swim in pool!
