... all at once I see a sign that said "Construction Ahead". Hummm, what will this bring, I says to meself (No Nellie, meself didn't answer back...jeeze). Any how, it was pretty much construction almost all the next 200 miles or so. Nothing drastic, like driving on the gravel shoulder or nuthin. Just "sit up and drive the durn thang" kinda construction.

... in Bradenton! A beautiful dinner cooked by Ruthann, a chat with everyone around, and a late night swim was just what was called for. The next morning we headed to Siesta Keys, the number 1 beach in USA, with Rob, Suzy and Anouk, Lois' very cute cousin! We had to get down there early to avoid the strong midday sunshine, but it was a beautiful beach with extremely soft sand. Me and Rob put the sand to good use and built a marvellous sand castle, before a bit of frisbee action, ...

But I digress. Last weekend we drove up I4, past the Airstream Ranch at exit 14 to Orlando to attend the NBOA meeting. It was at a very nice convention centre, the Gaylord. Won't go there for cheap laughs, too easy. We met up with lots of our friends and former colleagues including Blog devotees Jillian, Michael, Beth and Chris as well as honorary Canadians ...
