We are back at the AKA. Our fifth visit. Another great room, although different to last time. There's a new gym, new lounge area but our friends from our past five visits staffing the front door and desk. It's great to be back.

Superbe appartement dans une rue agréable, tout près de Times Square et Broadway. Personnel très aimable et serviable.
Petit bémol, la vaisselle est réduite à son strict minimum.

After what seemed like an eternity, well maybe 28 hours, we made it to out home away from home, the AKA, in NYC.

Just off Times Square, this little piece of bliss away from the hustle and bustle is perfect. We made it to our room at around 1.30am and pretty much collapsed into bed. 30 nights of NYC ahead of us. Let the adventure begin, …

Friday night was fun and Saturday spent doing a variety of things, mostly nothing. Shopping, a little meandering and generally soaking up NYC. The 911 memorial and museum was visited by few and from all accounts awesome. Dinner at Mortons last night and a couple of photos attached. We have now officially started the handbag category for each blog. …

... then it was a matter of packing up the last bits and pieces... Saying goodbye to the family and heading for the airport. Everyone was so, so sad that this wonderful experience was over. But we all declared it a huge success, and we are already planning our next cruise (Scandinavia aboard the Disney Magic in 4 years time..). We flew first to Seattle with Dani, Nick and the kids which was fun for everyone. And then parted ways with their ...

... High line. The High Line Park was a vital business district of New York City, supplying fresh fruits, French Cheeses and Russian caviar as well as fresh meats to City markets. The hustle and bustle of the streets induced the City to elevate the railroad trains delivering goods to the commercial buildings. When interstate truck traffic made the railway outdated, it fell into ruin, only to be regenerated as a park. Then Tuesday I have a 6 hour walking ...

... Just amazing. Some great original posters on display as well.

After the museum we went downtown and walked in the snow and checked out some of the high street shops in SoHo and the surrounding areas near Prince, Spring and Blecker streets.

We couldn't resist going to Bosie Tea parlour again so we enjoyed a tea service. Sitting and listening to the crowd and watching the snow fall. Just perfect.
