      ... off it at the end and see how far you can fly. The points are also awarded for the speed though so you have to go fast and far!

      It was pretty crazy watching the people jump off and fly over the side of this hill. Then there were little markers on the track to help show how far they have gone. I realised the markers were made out of little bits of pine tree which they placed in lines in the snow!! There were some pretty awesome crashes ...

      ... off little blasts here and there. When midnight finally rolled around boy did the skies light up with fireworks all over the place! It was just brilliant. The snow had finally stopped falling, it was -2 degrees and mum and I danced in the snow welcoming in the new year.       So today was the first day of 2015 and the sun finally came out and the snow stopped! I was very happy because its much nicer being able to go out for a walk without getting soaked. We didn't have any plans for today because everything is closed. Since the weather was so nice we decided that we should go out sightseeing as we could actually see the mountains from our hotel!       ... at the top called the Capuchin Monastery.

      After that we decided to take the hike up a hill which leads to Franziskischlossl, which I thought was a castle but it turns out its more like a big house, which is now an expensive restaurant. It was a nice walk, about 2km uphill though so I wished I had a sled to go back down on! From the top there was an awesome view over Salzburg and then we headed back down.

      ... which was never used at Dachau. After that somber visit it was back on the bus to travel into Austria!! And the scenery once we got to the alps was stunning! Lots of snow capped mountains to be seen. We stopped at a roadside cafe for lunch which had the best scenery with the alps in the background and a small village sitting in the valley.
