... the night, we had a walk around the whole site and the fairground to see what was about. We noticed a couple of the same venders from the Ipswich show. We watched TV for an hour or so in the truck (yeah that's correct there is a flatscreen TV in the truck) before cooking up a little bit of dinner! We freshened up and got ready for bed. We lay on the bed in front of the TV for an hour or so before calling it a night. ...

... and it was looking a bit grey but it held off for now. Heading back towards happy valley, we took at break at Eli Creek. We donned bikinis and board shorts and Tom and I walked up the board whilst leech attempted to swim up the creek. We beat her to the end and so turned back and started swimming down the creek only to find her chatting away to an Aussie guy who had just pointed out a water snake. Amazingly that didn't phase us and we kept on commando style swimming in the shallow ...

We then had a very early pick-up for our tour to Fraser Island the next day as the tour left from Noosa which was about a half-hour drive from Mooloolaba. Fraser Island is a sand island (which is literally as it sounds, an island made out of sand) inhabited mostly by trees and dingoes (which we sadly, did not see). We decided to do a day tour as we were slowly running out of time and definitely did not want to camp on ...

... to say goodbye to Harpreet who was flying off the next morning...only to get there and him not be there (cheers pal!) haha but had a good old evening and catch up with all the work lot.

A rather successful week now I look back at it, didn't think I got up to much but had a few little adventures. Now to save every penny I can for the next few months! Can not wait to start the big adventure :)

Missing you all back at home and thinking of you as always! ...

... to see if they were moving the party to a better club. Turned out they were all part of a backpackers club and they all had special passes to get into places so we left them to it and found 'the avengers' bar. Here there was a live band called the accidents playing an we spent the rest of the night dancing and singing along to them. It was an awesome evening and topped of by quite a nice burger when we got back to the hotel at 2am. Oh dear, not going to feel too fresh ...
