Spent the first morning packing and making our way into to town to catch the Limoliner to New York. Shuttle Disaster
... NYC was in there. After being elbowed a few hundred times, we retired to the Starbucks in the store for our first flavoured latte of the season.
I ordered the Pumpkin Spice Latte, and would love to tell you what it taste like - but since some filthy germ laden slapper on the London Tube has given me the cold, I have lost the ability to smell or taste.
It is good to be back in New York.

The Statue of Liberty
... you snap a better photo of Miss Liberty than at this location. She stares at you, unafraid, confident, yet the simplest little smirk adds comfort to any visitor.
Since the Statue was closed to visitors, our visit was brief. We walked around to the front and snapped some photos right where Darryl Hannah stepped out of the bay in her birthday suit in the 1984 Disney movie directed by Ron Howard: Splash.

Stayed for 9 nights in a fabulous apartment on the 4th floor. Two bedrooms, lots of space and very well furnished. Transport by bus or metro is very handy. The neighbourhood is absorbing. Michael, the host, is very friendly and welcoming. A bargain at the price. Will stay again and highly recommend.
