At least I had the right time of day on my side as I was headed due west, driving right into a gorgeous orange fireball of light. I stayed positive and knew the end result of seeing my best friend would be worth pushing it to get there. Who doesn't like San Diego? My sister didn't get a chance to join us, but the 4 of us headed up Hwy 74 through the mountains and then south at Temecula into San Diego. We got an early start and were in Old Town by 1030. Lots to see and do there and it was after noon before we were done.
