... turkey wandering around there. I'm not feeling well again this evening (probably because everyone is so grim, I actually saw a guy drop some mashed potato on to the dirty hostel kitchen floor and then pick it up and eat it today, and yesterday people were washing up without washing up liquid...) so I paint my toenails, have dinner and pack for tomorrow, and then call mum before i go to bed which is nice ...

... last-minute bargain, with the shops offloading their winter stock to make way for the spring / summer stock. Given winter here is like spring in Melbourne, it is hard to understand why they bother with winter stock at all! Following lunch we ventured out for a final paddle in the kayak. Most things were closed so we decided to go to the local movie theater to see the newest X-Men. It was $16 to ...

... to gobble down how slices of bread. Back on the tour boat floated back down stream to meet up with the other group who were now on canoes. Arrived at the original island, walked around Fig Tree point, a walkway through the eucalyptus forest. Huge Mosquitos returned with vengeance. All covered in bites we got back on the boat and returned to Noosa Heads. Strolled along Noosa beach, waatched the sunset by the mouth of the river. Walked ...

... rocks and being shown the sights of Yamba, I would recommend it to anyone who is on the East Coast. On the way back we were driven past the golf course that had been overtaken by wild kangaroos. We were able to walk down later that afternoon and sat just a couple of metres away from the kangaroos and their joeys as the sun set over the trees, it was really quite amazing! From Yamba we went up the famous Byron Bay. It was a great town, though I was glad I had spent more time in ...
