... then we packed up the van and drove up to Surfers. Absolutely everyone else in Queensland was there, all trying to get a parking spot too, but we eventually found one, many, many blocks away, so MORE walking was involved!

We can now visualise the camper so we have a better picture of how they go and how big they need to be. Therefore a few tweaks on the size of the cupboard are in order.
Oh boy has Chris got some ideas. We had seen a photo of a camper with rounded end double bed. We gave this to Chris when in one of the initial meetings where we gave him photos of 'likes vs dislikes' for finishes.

... us a relatively easy run into Sydney, and that' how we have finished up in Miami (would you believe). Nice site, just off the beach from which you can see the towers of Surfers Paradise some 5 miles up the beach, much nicer down our end.
Two stop over incidents occured. In looking to find a camper van friendly way into a shopping mall (we needed to restock on food) I nearly turned into an entrance that would have taken us into a multistory ...
... it can happen. The alert has been pretty here since there hasn't been any rain for a few days. We also seen Stradbroke island where the bush fires were last week. Anyway all round a good day. Just chilling with another glass of wine now. :-) the woman's daughter who I am staying with has her own little beauty salon in her house so I'm going to head to hers tomorrow and have a little spa day. ;-) then going to a show tomorrow night. ... until next flight. So we camped it out at Singapore airport overnight and got up early to check in for flight to Brisbane (via KL). Singapore airport is great, very spacious and things to do. Because we were flying different airlines, we actually had to pass immigration before checking in. But that would mean that we were outside the airport. So we let the luggage go around and then claimed it from lost and found when we were ready to check-in.
