... accommodation as all except me had to check out and either head back to Melbourne or to alternative accommodation closer to the next event site.
I spent the day catching up with laundry, doing a bit of shopping, reading and having a bit of a sleep catchup, that had been missed from the last couple of days. I even went to Macca's for dinner as I was feeling a bit lazy, then spent time updating this blog.

... park coastal walk but it was closed due to floods from the storms. Next along was Broadbeach where we stopped for lunch at a nice deli/cafe. We spent a couple of hours here walking up and down the beach before driving a little further to the more well known resort of Surfers Paradise. We only had a quick stop in the car as we were keen to drive on to Noosa which we were all really excited about. ... It started raining whilst sitting on the beach trying to enjoy above-mentioned Dominos pizza. Sky turned particularly dark. Had to vacate beach and rush back to hostel.
- Lifeguards discourage swimming in sea due to high volume of jellyfish and waves were too choppy for mere paddlers/swimmers and not choppy enough for surfers. So, not even a surfer's paradise. Place name is a complete FAIL.
