    ... accommodation as all except me had to check out and either head back to Melbourne or to alternative accommodation closer to the next event site.

    I spent the day catching up with laundry, doing a bit of shopping, reading and having a bit of a sleep catchup, that had been missed from the last couple of days. I even went to Macca's for dinner as I was feeling a bit lazy, then spent time updating this blog.

    ... on what I was wearing in the middle of winter. Understood once I told him I was from Canada. The dryer sadly didn't fully dry our clothes so most we hung up around our room to finish the job.     ... park coastal walk but it was closed due to floods from the storms. Next along was Broadbeach where we stopped for lunch at a nice deli/cafe. We spent a couple of hours here walking up and down the beach before driving a little further to the more well known resort of Surfers Paradise. We only had a quick stop in the car as we were keen to drive on to Noosa which we were all really excited about. We went via the local Woolworths supermarket to buy something to cook for dinner in our 2 ...

    ... It started raining whilst sitting on the beach trying to enjoy above-mentioned Dominos pizza. Sky turned particularly dark. Had to vacate beach and rush back to hostel.

    - Lifeguards discourage swimming in sea due to high volume of jellyfish and waves were too choppy for mere paddlers/swimmers and not choppy enough for surfers. So, not even a surfer's paradise. Place name is a complete FAIL.

    ... road, I drive us up to Surfers Paradise in Sputnik, and we checked in at our apartment (Dev must have been shaken if she was happy for me to drive!).
