Not surfing in Surfers Paradise..

We started our Surfers Paradise trip with a tamer walk along the seafront though, as it was a lovely warm evening when we first got there. There was a sand sculpture competition going on and we saw some amazing works of art, mostly of pirates but there was one cool sculpture of an underwater scene with little fish and a diver poking their heads out from the sand – it was hard to believe it was just made out of sand! ...

From the glorious Sunshine Coast we headed down to the Gold Coast, travelling through Brisbane. We stopped for a few hours in central Brisbane, but there isn't a great deal to see in the city as far as travelling goes so we decided not to spend a night there. The bus continued on to the ever-popular Surfers Paradise.
With only a week or so left until Xmas a lot of hostels are being booked up so we were not sure what we would end up with in Surfers. ...

... free drinks- should be good if i manage to stay awake!!! after that we walked into town and looked at some shops- definately no spending for me=D looked at the beach- the water is completely flata dn not a surfer in sight, very misleading! After this we went back to the hostel to get readyyy. The clubs here are great, all close together & the people are so much fun! Managed to get myself into trouble with the rep that was taking us round ...
Going Solo In Surfers
... were moving into his room, and decided they wanted to come too, so they sorted out their tickets out and the 5 of us headed to the park. As soon as we got there I decided to 'Man Up' and went straight on the big ollercoasters. Superman was my favourite, it went over 100km/h. Hangover = Gone! We headed back for 5pm as the hostel was supposedly putting on a $7 bbq. They had cancelled it last minute so we went to the Supermarket and bought our own sausages ...
