It's Mother's Day. I've just spent the morning on the boardwalk having breakfast with my friend and our children. While they all ran off to play on the beach in their Sunday bests, the two of us chatted over coffee, then green tea, then a second breakfast of the kids leftover pancakes (which were to die for). We were in the zone. But then, for Veronika and I, that is ...

a quick paddle upstream where the wind would carry me along, nicely. But kept
it short, as water is rough.

Passing alongside the floating restaurant I noted not a good
place to fall off, as far too many witnesses. I could see the whites of their
eyes eagerly awaiting a modest splash from a premature dismount. ...

... was full up, I was bit worried where we were going to sleep. The bus driver overheard me on the phone and asked where we stuck on how to get to our hostel, we explained the situation to him and he was like, why don't I drop you to a town called Mooloolaba which is 45 minutes from Noosa and you can stay at a hostel there. So bless this bus driver, he took us free of charge to Mooloolaba, dropped us outside this ...
