... over the road! The apartment is actually pretty big and well-specced too – we’re more than happy with it! It’s now late afternoon, so we shower and change then head over to Wayne’s apartment block, where everyone else is staying. We move over the road to a nearby little restaurant they’ve discovered and enjoy some reasonable Thai food – and end up meeting the owner, an ex-pat from Manchester called Jimmy, ...

It was pretty packed and it took us about an hour to go through the procedure, paid 1900 bath each and got an extension of 30 days, so we're alright now as our plane leaves the 17th. Winds have been coming but mainly early morning or very late in the day and through the evening. Be great to have a big flood light area at night as the winds seem to be blowing well. Sometimes you are lucky and the winds start about 4:00 pm which is nice. Latest board bought for the ...

Day 35 - temple, tigers and a Thai cooking class

A travel blog entry by malinda.egg on Jan 03, 2012

We woke up this morning to the train lady calling up and down the isles "orange juice". Dozing in and out of sleep, our tour guide Emmo woke us all up yelling out telling us we had 5 minutes to get ready before we had to get off the train. We quickly packed up everything, grabbed our bags and then had to hop off the train at the station. A big bus picked us up from here and we headed to the Royal Empress Hotel.  When we got to the hotel we had about 10 ...
