... this, we’ve pushed the boat out a little and rented a large penthouse apartment with private pool for the six of us – and we’re all pleasantly surprised when we arrive as the place is pretty immaculate and well-specced! Lucy was feeling a little jaded and isn't an F1 fan, so had an afternoon nap back at the hotel. When she woke up she came and joined me in the empty pub to watch the last few laps. Apparently, she'd walked past a bar on the way that was totally packed to the rafters watching the F1, so ...

... Rik were my bungalow mates there and, on my last night in Cairns and in Australia, invited me over for dinner and decided to invite Rich along. The rest is history.

Sooo… this meant we had a lot of catching up to do. Good! The ride to Jontiem, where they live, is approx 90 minutes and we did catch up. Turns out the guys are really in “semi” retirement. Ooooh! I was soooo jealous! But I figure: Good for them.
