On Friday we had a thrilling time going to the laundrette to do the washing and a trip to the local shops. After that we had a walk through a local park. Nice and sunny but cold.

Back down the motorway on Thursday to Ellesmere Port where the Waterways museum is. I guess you have to like boats, especially narrow boats, to enjoy a day out here. Just like yeaterday the weather was kind n the morning, but by 3.30 it was getting dark and cold.

still, we had a good look around the museum and spent about three hours there. Lots of things to see and in summer there are boat trips up the canal.

A good day out.

It is packed with rare and priceless objects and has three of the four complete Wedgewood fireplaces in the world.

Pictures are on the way.

We have been to the Trent and Mersey before, it starts in the Nottingham area and we walked along it at Shardlow near Derby. We have now walked along both ends of the canal as Anderton is very near the end where it joins the Mersey.

We then walked the main original street with its mix of old, older and much older such as Tudor buildings dated in the 1600's, lots of people and a market atmosphere with Xmas stalls. Next stop is Friars ...
