After a very 'rolly' night anchored off Playa Blanca last night we were up before sunrise once again and motored down to the bay we were in the previous night near Papagayo for another day of sunbathing, swimming and fishing. Again the fish were being very elusive and I only managed to catch one decent pan fish which Tracey has claimed as hers. After lunch we sailed over to Corrallejo on Fuertaventura and anchored into the Marina, Tim our first guest comes tomorrow and ...

Change of scenery but Still Anchored Off

A travel blog entry by ramblingsailors on Nov 04, 2015

... of the day I fished, swam and sunbathed. I snorkelled over the anchor to check everything was fine, which I should have done yesterday really, I may even have slept better if I had. I caught a decent sized Sea Bream but alas only one, the fish were really playing hard to get today. It's amazing how chilled out it is doing nothing with the sun beating down, watching the tourists on the beach getting their 'week of ...

          Anchored Off

A travel blog entry by ramblingsailors on Nov 03, 2015

We were up early again this morning, first thing I went to see about getting a lift out to sort the sail drive and the batteries, the girl in the Marina offices sent me across to the boatyard and I was told to ask for Celia. When I got there Celia i was told Celia is on holiday until Thursday so nothing can be booked in until then - so instead of wasting anymore time I checked out and we decided we would have a night on anchor around ...

It was yet another Bank Holiday in Spain again today, so we thought if you can't beat em, join em. After breakfast we took the snorkels and our towels down to the tourist beach at Playa Blanca to get our 'fish' fix for the week. We had a good couple of hours swimming along the rocks and on the beach before popping back to the Marina and using their swimming pool which is in with ...

          White Rabbits

A travel blog entry by ramblingsailors on Nov 01, 2015

'White Rabbit's is a saying in the UK that supposedly brings you luck when on the first day of any month with the letter R in it. So I thought we would give it a bash, we need some luck to get all these jobs done. We left Puerto Calero after breakfast just after 9.30am, it only took a couple of hours to Rubicon and it was great to be back on the water, it seemed ages since we had been out and we really were missing it. Now when we visited it down here in the car last week ...
