Our final day was spent walking around Palma. We did some shopping and hunted for pearl shops (because Mallorca is known for its pearls).
We had a late flight back to Madrid that night and missed the bus to Salamanca, so we stayed the night in Madrid and took the next day as our final one to relax and recuperate a bit from all the travel before going back to school the next day.

Picafort to Palma, 38 flat country miles

As we ride closer, we can almost taste the buttery green juice flowing from the olive mill of of Son Catiu. A sweetness literally fills the air. We decide to treat ourselves to the free samples of "pa amb oli" (bread and olive oil) and proceed to add about 5 pounds to our bikes...hopefully just from the gift bottles!

Pollenca to Can Picafort, 24 miles
Apparently the Spanish are not known for being early risers; let's just say no worms here. With that said, we pack up before breakfast and have at least 5 miles under our chamois's before croissants are served.
