    ... 100 miles, and is some of the best riding other than the Going to the Sun road in Glacier. Diablo Lake had the same kind of blue-green color that we saw in Glacier, and supposedly the color change is due to suspended rock particles in the lake water caused by the glacier action. All I know is that the color o Diablo Lake was really strange, and I'm sure no wonder they called it Diablo Lake.

    ... on and off of the primary pack.... well they don't work worth a hoot. I dislike my pack, but it is in perfect shape. I think I have to use it for one more Euro-walk-about. It's workable because we really only transfer with the backpacks. We never should have to wear them for more than a 15-minute hike from train station to apartment.

    March 23- Early to rise on Monday as I had a few issues to take care of at home. The coating on the restored 1938 kitchen sink was peeling back, so I had to take the plumbing and garbage disposal apart to try and re-glue it. Once glued, I headed out to all the appliance stores in the area to shop for a new dishwasher. I found one in Lake City and they agreed to deliver it, install it, and haul away ...
