... This place is perfect, clean with a fair amount of space. We will be very comfortable for the next 4 nights. We unpack and head out for some groceries. We then head over to Domino's pizza and pick up some dinner. Our flat is located just outside the center of the city, but is only a 10 minute bus ride. We unpack and enjoy our apartment tonight.

On Saturday Sal and I took Jesse and Maya on the open top bus tour through Glasgow which was great. ... Highland history. Here is the Wallace Monument, a tribute to William Wallace, a highlander who was featured in the Braveheart movie. We chickened out on the climb and just admired it from the car park. I must at this stage complement Betty our GPS. ... prices and the lack of enthusiasm in the pub we headed off. We tried to celebrate. Sunday (26th) rain rain rain! All Glasgow does is rain. We put all our waterproofs on to go for a walk to the otherside of town and it stopped raining! We stopped for a hot drink along the way and continued on to the barras market, which turned out to be a place where you could guarantee that someone would mug you and then try and sell your stuff in their stall - no idea why ...
