We headed further into the East End of Glasgow to the Tennants Brewery. It was too early for the tour but we got to look around the exhibition room and knew we could sample the beer at a number of pubs and bars around the city later in the day. Walking back into the city centre we passed the famous Barrowland concert hall and 'The Barras' market - the market, like all the other attractions in Scotland, was closed (it is only open at weekends).

... at a rest area. We grabbed a bite to eat at a fast food restaurant there (Burger King?). It was just enough to hold us over until we found a real place to eat. Ordering from the local teenager was quite tough, though, with his extremely thick accent.
