A number of family oriented events were going on while all these other things were happening. One was a tug of war, in which children from ages 4 or 5 up to 55 participated. Young men were high jumping. Little ones were bouncing. People tasted sweeties and sipped tea. Marvelous!

One last touch to make this a total small community event, was the home produce and baking room. Tables upon tables were piled high ...

... We finally arrived in Edinburgh at 4.25pm. Geoff picked us up from the station and took us to Edinburgh airport where we picked up our rental car - a Renault Clio and we followed him back to their house.

We had tea consisting of pumpkin soup and oatcakes and desert with Geoff and Marion and then we talked a bit more before going to bed at 10pm.
