... a really nice little place called Aspen Over Easy. They did breakfast along with normal lunch. The food was so good and we are already planning on revisiting here when we hopefully go back for the X-Games in January.
After a little walk around Aspen we headed back home which took just under 2 hours.

... enjoy the offer...we picked a restaurant up in Beaver Creek called Golden Eagle Inn which you could pick 2 courses for that price. I had Chicken confit with apple butter and Darren had Elk Meatloaf, then we had a Palisade peach pavlova and Profiteroles to share. It was so delicious....they also gave us homemade sourdough bread with a butter that had been mixed with paprika and other herbs!! What a treat!
I have finally reached the point where I can just relax around a swimming pool. I know quite silly to arrive at this but the last six weeks have been amazingly fantastic but really intense. It is nice as well to have time with my friends in Boulder.
I will not have made it without Theo as he mentionned on FB, 40 days, 10 000 miles, 25 states and al least 12 National parks.
Aspen reminded me a bit of Banff, cute little ski/snowboard town with lots of hikes in the summer.
Unfortunately, I did not realize how high up Aspen is (2400m above sea level) and once we started our hike at Maroon Bells, I felt quite dizzy and tired. Turns out I must have had some sort of altitude sickness at 3000m above sea level... That happened on our hike in Santa Fe as well.. well, now I know :)
I recovered quickly and finished the hike at least...
... a wiser individual with an abundance of new life experiences.
When Darren and I got back to Boulder we had to come to terms with our second out of the three goodbyes we would face during our time together. It was hard pulling away from his house and leaving Boulder. My heart felt heavy and was telling me to stay, yet I also wanted to see my family at the same time. I headed an hour south ...
