... Billy' on it complete with a candle for every decade.

After dinner we had to hightail it from the Venetian down to the MGM Grand to have our minds blown by David Copperfield. It was an amazing show and some of the **** he did was so incredible. Billy and I are sure he is an alien... there is no other explanation!! From there we did a lot of drinking and some gambling at the ***** table, which was fun but 'momma did not get a new pair ...

... down ultimately missing the podium and finishing 4th. The very pro-American crowd went crazy as their favourite son, Ted Ligety, skied the perfect second leg to take the win. You have to say that Ligety owns this hill when it comes to Giant Slalom as it was his 5th successive win here on the World Cup circuit. This adds to the challenge for the skier and excitement for the spectators as sometimes it all goes horribly ...

... of ways: skiing at high speeds up to 130km through challenging turns, shallow dips, flats, and jumps. This course had all these elements in it, as well as a big jump intended to complicate matters just before the finish, which was thrill both for the racer and the spectators.

Once again we sat at the back of the stadium and this time we were joined by Austrian supporters. We cheered, rang our cowbells (obligatory for skiing) and ...

... for him to do this. I wanted to track down a friend from Thredbo who also works at Beaver Creek. It was great to catch up with Sarah Jones and the surprise on her face when I walked into her office was worth it. I was the last person she expected to see in Beaver Creek. She is the only Aussie working in the Ski School here in 2015.

The lovely Sarah gave us half price lift tickets to use whilst we were here. These were greatly appreciated. $120 down to $60 ...
