... beginner and intermediate terrain. It was quite warm by the time I arrived and the snow was very heavy. I took an ungroomed black and was sorry—hacked my way down the heavy wet snow. I took a few runs through the beginner terrain park and enjoyed doing the little jumps.

I didn’t get to make it over to ski off Tiehack Express Lift, but maybe next time.

... shop and we found heaps of old 80s toys that we had when we were kids which was fun.

After our tour it was time to hit the town with a dinner at Buddy V's aka The Cake Boss' Italian restaurant which was organised by Nathan and Mark for Billy. Billy said he had the best Chicken Parma he has ever had...which is a big call but deserved as the food and service was amazing!! ... at Grammar and we have followed his success over the last few seasons. Marion had been on the junior French Alpine skiing team as a youngster but now lives and works in Canberra. Stephen caught up with him after training and he was delighted to have a chat with him. Certainly surprised to meet someone from Australia who knew his sister.

... and calzone washed down with Crazy Mountain Amber Ale, a great local draft beer on tap. Watched a fashion parade for the rich and famous. Ski jackets around $2k +. Certainly not fashion for the everyday person. It was still fun to watch though. Finished off the evening with another champagne from the Korbel Ice Bar - totally carved out of ice it certainly kept the champagne chilled just the way we like it. Enjoying this lifestyle!

... out how it compared to Steamboat. As much as I enjoyed it, if I had to pick just one spot, between the 2 I would choose Steamboat. I think the town of Steamboat is a little bit more laid back and the shops are a bit more down to earth. The restaurants also don’t seem as crowded. While I think Aspen has a great bus system and it is wonderful to have free transportation between all 4 mountains, the distances between Snowmass and Aspen is about 30 min via ...
