Back again...
Okaloosa Island has some very nice beaches, but far and away the best beach of the trip (so far) has to be Navarre Beach and Gulf Island National Seashore, right up to Pensacola Beach. ... with lots of antique stores, restaurants and shops. At night all the trees in the downtown area lit up, a bit like a festive Christmas scene but with Spanish moss. The hotel is VERY old (1847!) but nicely restored.

D-Day Is Here

January 19th has arrived. Beth and I say goodbye to our frantic looking Pomeranians, Baby and Syd. They know this is not our usual 2 hours trip to the gym. Our suitcases give us away. We are leaving them. Baby acts as if she's ready to promise to behave for life…if we agree to stay.

autoroute : I-10., encore 3000 km en ligne droite. Cette fois ci nous

Here we sit on the most beautiful white beach. Lachlan is running around in huge circles on the beach while Bastion digs holes. Andrew is "supervising" and I am writing this bloody blog. Jet fighters and Blue Angels roar overhead. I don't know of there is anywhere else better on our whole trip! Maybe if it was warmer (it is supposed to warm up tomorrow), it would be perfect. We are camping at yet another National Park - this time ...
