Arrived at our destination, Altea on Saturday July 4. Stayed the first 4 nights with Percy , Simons buddy from school days, and his very gracious wife, Begonia. Their apt is located one block from the beach front. It has been kind of like summer camp. They have kept us entertained with home cooking, swimming, kayaking, picnics, sidewalk tapas,  One  evening we all went for an incredibly beautiful hike up the mountain to the lighthouse . Doog collected a large rock that she could take to use as an ice crusher when icing her horses legs. I took a small rock that would fit in my pocket. What was interesting was the noise the ...

I was rewarded with fabulous views and was well worth the hike. It was also quite hot walking up the mountain or rock.

I then descended and made my way back to the car to drive home.Upon return home I sat and had a beer with Eugene and then sat and watched Voice of Holland. I then had some dinner and went to bed.
