    The girls had a hearty Embassy breakfast before we packed the car and drove to the Rice campus. On the way we found my old apartment building on Westheimer, Avalon Square. The whole area has been built up with high ride condo building and high end shops and restaurants, and a Whole Foods just a few blocks away now.     ... Fleming. Further along, carved into a tree trunk is a 16 feet gator which appears to be after a bald eagle (statue) landing at the top of the trunk.
