    ... in the upright position. In the late 18th Century a plague struck the tribe and effectively wiped them out. The Lithuanians today still remember them and have maintained the burial grounds as a memorial.
    I went to have a look, it didn't take long as they re all crammed in together by the looks of things. Oh well, the benefits of burying midgets standing up I suppose.

    The Rundäle Palace was built for the Duke of Courtland in the 18th century. The architect Rastrelli was impressed by Versailles and copied it here.
