... we anticipate this weekend feeling like a ghost trail with almost all hikers getting off for the weekend festivities and then returning later. Also saw Berlynn and Scott towards the days end as they made their way past our camp. We were surprised to see them as they were us, but it turns out they had spent a night in Julian as well. ... The trail has an ebb and flow to it for sure, a definitive give and take, a karma. Calling Universe, message received. Our trip ended this morning as we boarded a plane home to New York. For those of you who missed this detail… We are leaving Dottie in San Diego at brother Michael's house. Next year we will start our trip from San Diego and head to the Pacific Northwest. The conclusion of that trip will return Dottie to Long Island. Packing: I've packed, re-packed, unpacked and repeated the process several times. The days that are warmer, the more I pull out of my bag.
