... a spectacular drive over the mountains reached Anza-Borrego Desert Park, a huge, arid plain surrounded by mountains. Eventually we managed to locate the township of Borrego Springs, a small but spread-out settlement in the desert dotted with palm trees. A one horse town without a horse... But plenty of 4x4s. The Oasis Motel was quite a contrast to the Grand Hyatt but clean and comfortable and very American.

... aircraft come into the local "airport" to do VTOLs, but that just reminds me how lucky we are to have such a great military watching out for us. I did get a couple of shots of the planes on the glidepath and such. You might enjoy it.

... don't wipe the bike out with your mirror, your too close to the the branches, watch the cars, turn, turn, no not in there…. Stay on the RIGHT SIDE!!! So Pappa he's heard the right side quite a bit; Peter's got two extra backseat driver's plus Sandie "directing the traffic"…. I think Peter is doing fine besides taking a curb too close, going across to the wrong side nearly at an intersection and dealing with backseat drivers.
