... her finger in her ear.   We arrived in Beaugency and found our hotel at 2pm, but could not go to our room as it was being cleaned.  All the stores were closed from 12pm to 2:30pm so we toured the city for an hour, then finally got to check in to our room at 3pm to wash off the bugs stuck all over our bodies.  Lesson learned, all the stores are closed for lunch from 12pm to 2:30pm and don't rush to your hotel before 3pm. ...

But we seemed to be walking for ages and time was getting on, ...

I didn't fancy a shower in the dark - the bathroom was very small and pokey and didn't have any windows - so I freshened up using the sink. Breakfast was in the dark. The owners were very apologetic and given it was Saturday they were having difficulty finding an electrician to assist. The owner was scurrying ...

... looking a little suspicious so I tagged onto a family that had just met another commuter on the bus. As they got into a car I then tagged along with another suitcase puller - looking as though I knew where I was going. I was hoping I was heading in the right direction for the hotel. She pulled off to catch a tram so I pulled into a restaurant to try and work out where I was and if there were any taxis around. I worked out I was about 4 or 5 blocks away from the hotel. I downed ...
