Today we jumped on a train and headed to Blois, it is a cute little town in the Loire valley we spent a few hours wandering around taking photos, looking at shops and had a look at a cathedral also. There was a château there as well but we chose not to have a look inside I had read reviews saying that while it was a nice château it does not compare to others in the ...

It is still owned by the family, but was opened to the public in 1922. Had lunch by the pond watching two white swans play. Then to Chambord, the King's hunting lodge commenced well prior to the French Revolution by Francis I, and finished 100 years later. ...

... didn't appear to be getting anywhere near to anything we remembered. My only hope was that the signs kept saying Gare Sud and I knew we had come out at the north entrance when we arrived. But the bubble of panic was there as we were not sure if it was going to be a completely different train station. Luckily, it wasn't and we made it to the station well within time for the train!
