    ... to lunch and a beer, then a visit to St Martins Basilica and the ride back, we got just before it started to rain again, it didn't last long so off we went again for a walk to the local supermarket for some bits. We have now had dinner and taken down the porch awning and reloaded the bikes and trailer ready for our move tomorrow...

    Next stop Clermont Ferrand, 200 miles. More to follow ...

    Ended the day in Brehemont, after a few miles of treacherous driving, thanks SatNAv!!. Beautiful campsite, although a little oddity with the toilet paper, one roll for three toilets, you must guess what you need and take it in with you!!

    Visited the markets to buy saucisson, nectarines, apricots and melons which are in full season. We men had coffee and serious discussion while the ladies bought frippery, we will of course be grateful when they parade their purchases. The afternoon has been devoted to laundry and packing for the Elleway departure tomorrow. We have all had a good time and we will miss them. Duck foie gras, and duck confit with duck fat roast potatoes and salad tonight. This is a seriously hard ...

    ... which was part of the old hospital so we decided to visit the. Well worth the visit as it showed how people were treated long ago. The apothecary itself had a lot of the original medicines used in the 17th century.

    Returned to the same restaurant as we had used the night before as were so impressed and not disappointed either. Lovely place and very good ...

    Our 2 day stay in Bauge en Anjou

    ... br> After settling in we took a stroll to check it out and found we were only about 350 metres from the impressive Chateau in Bauge. after our stroll we had decided on a restaurant which was part of an Auberge de France hotel. It was excellent.

    We had passed by Bauge a number of times over the years but as the road towards Le Man bypasses the centre we had never stopped.
