Beach bum life! Today we spent the entire day on the beach. We rented lounge chairs and umbrellas and relaxed. It was a refreshing day. Jayden, the youngest of the group, went crazy between the beach and pool. It was hard to pull him away to get ready for dinner. It was also Michelle's birthday! The family went out to dinner and ice cream to celebrate. After a few of us went out for birthday drinks. We kept it relatively chill since we have an early morning for a day trip to ...

... beaches and azure seas some of the time or high up in the hills overlooking the larger resorts. Marbella sits at the bottom of some mountains, and is set in a huge bay about 10 km long , on clear days you can see Gibraltar and Africa. Its is most picturesque too look at, and we admired the view more than once from beach restaraunts, where they grill the fresh fish out in the open on giant barbeques most days.

Marbella has a really sweet old village, which ...

... they go backwards into the sea and stand there and wait for 3 waves to pass you, then you come out and jump over the fire!!! Weird!!! I think it is a cleansing process. OR you can write all your sins or wishes/dreams and then throw them in the fire. I didn't have enough paper for mine, so I didn't take part ;) It was a really good experience as the beach was packed. Was a lovely night. We then walked home and ...
