... Eevee charm. Elias got an Oshawatt stuffy and he also got Oshawatt socks. After going to the Pokémon Center we went to a restaurant called Eggs and Things, for Elias’s love of eggs. After dinner we walked in a park. Dad wanted to find a monument that his mom had played on when she was a kid and was living in Japan. When we got back to the hotel Elias played for about a half an hour. Then we sang Happy Birthday and Elias ate a Choco Pie.

Konichiwa from Tokyo!

This morning I woke up super early to go to the worlds largest Chinatown, which is located within walking distance of where the ship was ported. Apparently I woke up a bit too early because as Melissa and I walked around we noticed that the majority of places had not yet opened. While meandering around waiting for places to open we had the opportunity to see a beautiful temple. We also witnessed many people mopping their storefronts ...

... it's been a little easy for me to sometimes forget that I am so far away from home. The base is very Americanized with restaurants back in the states, English words everywhere, and (obviously) Americans walking around. Not so much off base :)
