... shoes on NZ style and after another 6 or so river crossings, plenty of boulders, and cold wet feet they made it to a clear pool surrounded by rocks and... perfectly warm. Magical! Next to it was an island in the river with a small clearing amidst the trees where we set up camp and next thing we knew we were lying in a hot pool, looking at a fantastic view, with no plans to get out. We were researching our train ticket in the common room when who should come running in but a friendly little mouse. We notified our host and a chase ensued. ... it's been a little easy for me to sometimes forget that I am so far away from home. The base is very Americanized with restaurants back in the states, English words everywhere, and (obviously) Americans walking around. Not so much off base :)
Friday during thee day we all were assigned teams and went of a scavenger hunt around Yokosuka! The item on the list with the most points was taking a train to Ikego. It was so overwhelming for me just to buy ...
