... hot... we finally made it to the pool and it was sooooooooooo nice. It was packed but nice - as soon as we hit the water the world was right again. We were at normal body temp now. So we soaked like hippos for a while and then decided we had to go to local town as needed some cash. It was hot again today, surprise surprise. We have looked at the long term weather forecast and there is a 10% chance of rain on the 20th but nothing until then so we are going to have to get used to it. This we managed as we had about an hour up our sleeve. We decided to go as far as Nice to split the long journey. I think Kahori will be amused at our lack of definite travel plans for this day. We did have to say, well just how far ...

... cooking after 5 weeks away.
Our last day in the gite coincided with my "big" birthday. The gite owner kindly prepared a delicious 5 course meal using local produce which began with a Cava apertif (shared with the owner)and then the rest of the meal was served for the two of us on our deck overlooking the Pyrenees. The wild boar and farmhouse rabbit were highlights. How lucky to be able to celebrate in such a beautiful part of the ...
