Zion National Park Hiking

A travel blog entry by wolters on Aug 29, 2013

Driving to Zion national park. Kyle seems to get cooler and cooler. When we arrived and stepped out of the van, we were met by a wall of humidity and warmth. We hiked through the virginia river. Going down to the free breakfast, there was waffles and syrup! Do it yourself style by pouring the mixture into the hot irons. Also available was sugary cereal, sugary juices, sugary pastries and toast. No wonder Americans are fat! We indulged, trying to get our money's worth, before setting off. Soon enough we were entering Zion National Park! …

After a morning trail ride at the Cowboy Camp, we headed to Zion National Park where we would spend our last night under canvas. Once at the park we did the Narrows hike which consisted of walking up a stream that had high walls either side. We had three hours to go as far as we could and come back. We ended up going half way. On coming back to camp, we had kebabs for dinner as our last dinner.

Setting off from our Las Vegas apartments, we took one final drive up the strip before saying farewell to Vegas with some amazing memories and experiences.

On our way to our next destination we passed from Nevada, through a small section of Arizona, and into Utah. We made a brief stop for supplies and for materials for tomorrow night's …

Right next to a bus stop into Zion. Has WiFi, through a little slow and some sites are close together - ours was very good with a small front lawn. Right on the Virgin River.
